Vodka – It’s Many Uses.
Vodka is enjoyed by many as an ingredient for many a cocktail. But, it does have other uses.
Cleaning
All rooms
Clean crystal and porcelain ornaments. Dampen a cloth with Smirnoff Vodka and carefully clean the knickknacks.
Clean the caulking around bathtubes. Fill a spray bottle with Smirnoff Vodka, spray the caulking, wait five minutes, and wash clean.
Bathroom
Shine chrome and glass bathroom fixtures. Soak a soft, clean cloth with Smirnoff Vodka and shine.
Remove hair spray from mirrors. Soak a soft, clean cloth with Smirnoff Vodka and wipe mirrors clean. Clean glass - Use it instead of Windex.
Dining Room
Clean a chandelier. Spray the chandelier with a solution of four teaspoons Smirnoff Vodka in one pint water, then let it drip dry over a plastic sheet.
Miscellaneous
Clean eyeglass lenses. Simply wipe the lenses with a soft, clean cloth dampened in Smirnoff Vodka.
Deodorize smells. E.g. Spray vodka on vomit stains, scrub with a brush, then blot dry.
Remove the glue left behind by a bumper sticker. Rub the glue with a soft, clean cloth soaked with Smirnoff Vodka.
If you don’t want to spend money on jewelry cleaner you can pour some vodka in a cup and add your jewelry for a brilliant shine.
Gardening
Keep aphids off houseplants. Wash aphids off houseplants with tap water, then dab the leaves with a cotton ball dipped in Smirnoff Vodka. Do not use alcohol on delicate plants like African violets.
Kill insects: Fill a sixteen-ounce trigger-spray bottle and spray bees or wasps to
kill them.
Health
Neutralize jellyfish stings. If you don't have rubbing alcohol, splash Smirnoff Vodka over the affected area.
Vodka can remove the harmful oil that is left on your skin when you are exposed to poison ivy.
Fill a clean, used mayonnaise jar with freshly packed lavender
flowers, fill the jar with vodka, seal the lid tightly and set in the sun
for three days. Strain liquid through a coffee filter, then apply the
tincture to aches and pains.
To relieve a fever, use a washcloth to rub vodka on your chest and
back as a liniment.
To cure foot odor, wash your feet with vodka.
Use on blisters - Pour a little bit of vodka on a broken blister, it will help relieve the pain and also heal/disinfect it (this might hurt a little bit).
Soothe a sore throat. Add a tablespoon of Smirnoff Vodka to glass of warm water and gargle. The alcohol helps numb the sore throat.
Vodka can also help dry out cold sores. Just apply a bit of vodka to your cold sore a few times a day.
Eliminate swimmer's ear. If you don't have rubbing alcohol, fill an eardropper with Smirnoff Vodka, and squeeze it into the affected ear, then let it drain out.
You can also use vodka as a facial cleanser. The vodka will act as an astringent removing oil and tightening pores.
